The challenge
“Time-consuming, laborious and a nightmare” are just a few words that Gerald used to describe Lucien Bikes’ struggle with company expenses in the past.
At Lucien Bike, employees used to make their transactions with standard cards issued by the bank. This meant that the financial administration team had to download the monthly card statements while hoping that each employee had correctly collected and scanned all their receipts and put them in an Excel.
“It was a lot of work for poor quality” said Gerald about the company’s prior expense process.
A further thorn in their side was the process of ordering company cards. The request used to have to go through the Group’s treasury department to the bank and required multiple documents to be signed as well as a lengthy game of email ping-pong. In other words, ordering cards was a tiresome and time-consuming process.

As soon as an employee makes a purchase with the card, they get a notification on their mobile phone, prompting them to upload their receipt, which reduces the number of lost receipts to almost zero.
